After the war 700,000 names of 3 war criminals were circulating in Germany
Circulated in Germany after the war, the names of 700,000 war criminals. Only 120.00 of them have been investigated. Today the number of convicted war criminals in Germany is 563.

These staggering figures are from the ’Zentrale Stelle’ in Ludwigsburg, Germany; the national detection agency that was found in 1958 to track down the war criminals of world war II. In this episode we see the research at this institution by Gideon Levy as he tries to accomplish awareness for the Bruins case.

How serious did Germany pursue the hunting of the Nazis?

Levy discovers that just a hand full of people were convicted for the crimes they committed at concentration camp Belzec, where over 400,000 people were killed. The CEO of ‘Zentrale Stelle’ tries to settle Levy’s mind with the comment that recently 1 employee is still working on the Belzec case.
